Hello Lovelies,
So over the holiday break I was watching one of my favorite movies, Factory Girl, which is about the people that worked in and were apart of Andy Warhol's factory in the 1960's in New York (focusing on the lovely muse of Warhol, Edie Sedgwick.) Edie had a really bold makeup look that she sort of coined in the sixties, a bold black line in the crease, black gel liner, bright white shaddow, and huge lashes! She actually used to wear two sets of false lashes on her upper lashline every day! Can you believe that, so crazy! But she always managed to look so glamorous, she was actually one of American Vogue's "It Girl's" in the 1960s, and one of Betsy Johnson's first models!
Here is a picture of Edie in the 60's
And here is a amazing tutorial from Sam from the Pixiwoo's on Youtube, eventually I am going to film my own version of this tutorial for you guys! (Maybe as a part of next year's Halloween series? )
This tutorial is a little bit of a more refined and glamourous version of Edie's makeup, when you look at pictures of her actual make up you can tell that it looks a little "slap dash" like it was put on with out a ton of worry or care. Which in my opinion is what makes it so intriguing!
Hope you guys like this video, make sure you go and enter the giveaway I am having on my youtube channel! I'll link that video here as well!
Have a lovely day!
~Kat
